How the Double End Tenoner Works

A double end tenoner carries each workpiece between two feed chains and machines both ends simultaneously as it passes through:

  1. Set the size. The two machine sides move along linear rails to the finished part length or width, then lock in place — so every part comes out to the same exact dimension.
  2. Feed both ends through. Dual feed chains carry the part squarely through matched stations on each side, machining both ends at the same time in a single pass.
  3. Machine in sequence. Stations are arranged in the order your part needs — trim and score to size, cope or profile, cut tenons or dados, bore, and sand — each side mirroring the other.
  4. Repeat at production speed. Because both ends finish together and to a locked dimension, the tenoner delivers consistent, square, glue-ready parts shift after shift.
